4th of July Weekend Happenings

July 6, 2009 at 6:45 PM (Family, Friends)

Our weekend actually started last Thursday. Ben already had the day off and I got off of work early so we could head to NC. We hit the road around 2:30 PM and had very few problems with traffic once we got out of Atlanta. We met our friends Blair and Jamie at Chili’s near their house and had a great dinner. We then headed to their house, talked until late in the evening, and then crashed.

Friday morning was spent driving 1.5 hrs to my Mom’s house and then hanging out with her. Ben, Mom, and I then headed to Greensboro, NC for our friend Donna’s wedding. The wedding was a lot of fun. We got to hang out with several of our closest friends including our friends Heather, Kristen, Blair, and Jamie. Donna looked fabulous and the weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Saturday was spent hanging out with my mom, brother, and sister-in-law. We spent some time shopping and went out to lunch. Ben made yummy steaks for all of us for dinner. We had an awesome day!

Sunday we started our drive to GA in the morning. We stopped in SC to have lunch with Ben’s mom, dad, sister, niece, and nephew.

Though the weekend was busy, we really enjoy trips when we get to see a wide variety of our friends and family in NC and SC during the same trip.

We hope that your weekend was just as awesome!
